about the event

A week of competition in one of the world's most extreme settings

Each year, the Winter Swimming World Cup brings together swimmers from different countries to compete in waters near 0°C, in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier. This edition adds a first-time floating pool, installed temporarily and sustainably within Los Glaciares National Park.

Dates: August 2–9, 2026

Location: El Calafate — Perito Moreno Glacier

Reach: swimmers from 12+ confirmed countries

Temperature: water between 0°C and 3°C, no wetsuits
